Once Upon A Time You Trusted Yourself
Just trust yourself, then you will know how to live.

Today try to find a photograph of yourself when you were about 10. Make sure you are smiling. Find a pretty frame you already own and place it on your dressing table, desk, or in your journal.

Look  at yourself everyday. Send love to that young girl. Think of what she was doing at that time. Can you see your home? School? Friends? Where did you live? Mentally walk through the rooms of your childhood home. What did your bedroom look like? Who were your friends? How did you play? What was the first crayon you took out of the box? Did you play a musical instrument? Have a favorite doll? Favorite foods?

Age 10 was probably the last time you trusted your instincts. You didn't listen to the opinions of your mother, sister, or friends because you had your own.

Watching my own 10 year old daughter today is a revelation. She knows what she likes/dislikes. She is not swayed by friends or my opinions. She is true to herself.

Today's challenge: Try to contact that girl you once were. Remind her how beautiful she is, how anything is possible, and how extraordinary she really is. Afterall, we should not get lost in our mommyhood, wifehood, or workhood. :)

Today's exercise: Write down 10 things you are grateful for in this moment and 10 things you are grateful for back when you were 10.
